After 15 years in recruitment, I felt like my soul was being suffocated. Craving something more meaningful, I retrained as a swimming teacher—only for Covid to shut the pools. That’s when I knew it was time to fully commit to my real passion: running.
In 2021, I launched my coaching business, inspired by the power of positive psychology & mindset work and the belief that we can always go further than we think.
Running has been part of my life for 25 years. A decade ago, I hired my own coach to see how far I could push myself. I compete in all distances, from 5k ParkRuns to marathons and Ultra Marathon distances, learning first-hand what it takes to balance performance, resilience, and joy in the sport.
Today, I bring that experience to others as a British Athletics Certified Run Coach, a Positive Psychology Coach and a Breathwork Facilitator. Most importantly, I live what I teach—combining discipline with curiosity, and performance with wellbeing.
Breathwork: A Transformational Journey
Turning 50 in Bali was a defining moment
While there, I took part in a breathwork course and stepped into an ice bath, an experience that completely shifted my mental energy.
What started as a challenge became a powerful lesson: that growth comes when we lean into discomfort, stay present, and trust the process.
That experience didn’t just change me; it reinforced everything I now teach as a coach—trusting the journey, embracing challenges, and using them as fuel to grow stronger in running and in life.

This conversation felt like such an honest unpacking of what happens when you stop chasing perfect splits and start listening—to your body, your breath, and what you really want from life.

Somewhere along the way, I felt a pull for something more. I left a steady HR career, embraced an alcohol- and meat-free lifestyle, and moved to the remote north of Scotland, surrounded by trails and the outdoors I love. Running rekindled my passion, and coaching became a way to share that joy and purpose with others.
